Cut Copy | 03.30.18 | Stubb's
I'm quite partial to fall and spring because those always seem to be when bands come around on tours the most frequently (doesn't hurt either that Texas weather is pretty great as well). I wasn't too familiar with Cut Copy, I've heard their name alot and I've heard a few of their songs, but I had a friend tell me how excited she was for the show and how they'd be a great band to photograph: she was totally right, of course. Photographing these dudes was so much fun and the energy of the crowd was enchanting. The energy always makes or breaks shows, and after my time in the pit was up I found my friends and surrounding us were a bunch of people jumping around, dancing and miming to the music. Live music truly is the best.
I'm really grateful I got the chance to photograph the band and I only wish I knew more of the lyrics to sing along in unison with the crowd and the band; that's another one of my favorite parts of live music: the feeling of singing along with hundreds if, if not thousands of strangers with a band you love.
